Job description
The Role
Others talk about being brave, at IC24, we're made that way.
From providing high quality integrated urgent care for over six million people, to thinking of innovative solutions for our patients - every role at IC24 is made to be brave.
Are you an experienced and currently trained Tier Two NHS 111 Health Advisor who is looking for greater flexibility and a better work life balance? Do you have at least one year’s post Pathways training experience and a passion for the role? If so, we would love to hear from you.
As a homeworking Health Advisor, we can offer you an excellent support network as well as career development opportunities, a generous NHS pension and a competitive pay framework to progress through, as well as everything you need to get you working from home.
We would be interested in hearing from both current Health Advisors and those who have previously worked as a Tier Two Health Advisor in the past year and have had a break in service.
Who are we?
We are Integrated Care 24 (IC24), the leading not-for-profit Social Enterprise providing innovative and patient-focused primary care services. IC24 is committed to improving access to health and social care for our patients and reducing the demand on secondary care services. IC24 provides services to over 6 million patients, including GP led out-of-hours services, NHS 111, primary care and secondary care support services.
Location: Remote/Homeworking with occasional travel to one of our contact centres in either Ashford, Ipswich or Norwich as and when required.
Hours Available: We have full and part time opportunities ranging from a minimum of 12 hours to a maximum of 37.5 hours per week, covering a 24/7 operation (including out of hours and Bank Holidays)
Overnight and weekend only rotas are also available.
Please note that all colleagues will be required to work some hours on a Saturday and Sunday during an 8-week rota and this could be up to 4 weekends out of 8. Some flexibility on times required.
Additional hours may also be available in times of peak demand.
If you have any questions relating to hours available or the role please email – [email protected]
What’s in it for you?
- New hourly rates of £10.82 - £17.10 depending on experience and hours worked during the week. Enhancements are paid between 20:00 and 06:00 hours and for all hours on weekends, with further enhancements on bank holidays
- Additional annual leave above statutory minimum based on service
- Opportunity to join the NHS Pension Scheme
- Free membership to our reward and discount platform
- Learning and development opportunities
- Access to Blue Light Card and other NHS Discount Schemes
- Full homeworking kit provided
You need to currently, or recently (within last 12 months), have worked as a Tier Two Pathways/Health Advisor (Call Handler), living in England or Wales, with a suitable internet connection (minimum requirement - 20+ Mbps download / 4+ Mbps upload) and a quiet private space to work from.
Although the role is based at home, you will need to travel to your assigned contact centre if circumstances change and homeworking is no longer viable. During your first two weeks there will be a selection of classroom dates that must be attended in person at one of our three sites. Reasonable travel and accommodation will be paid by IC24. You may subsequently be required to occasionally attend a contact centre for further training and/or face to face support and guidance.
Due to the nature of this position, employment is subject to proof of eligibility to work in the UK, completion of a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure and two references. Identity documents will need to be sent securely or presented in person.
