Job description
Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 3 Lab Assistant to fill a full-time role in Rotherham.
The pay rate for this locum Lab Assistant job is £13 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.

Main Duties:
- Separate samples by type
- Check patient demographics and number/rack samples consecutively.
- Swab plates accurately and with precision.
- Process waste appropriately
- Make up packs of swabs/forms for wards.
- Answer the phone for general enquiries once sufficiently competent.
- Assist laboratory staff as appropriate.
Requirements of the Lab Assistant:
- HCPC registered
- Laboratory experience would be of benefit but is not essential, transferrable skills will be taken into account
