Sky News have fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to benefit from a fully paid six month internship working within their creative news team developed in partnership between Sky Up, 25 Seven Talent Solutions and Spectra.
This internship is in the name of a young woman who worked for Sky News. Tragically
Azra died in 2020 and this internship is created in her honour.
Azra helped open doors to people from different and sometimes challenging backgrounds who journalists don’t often get to meet.
She had a tough upbringing, but that helped her understand people's lives. She cared about injustice and she had a natural way of communicating with people from all walks of life.
So, this isn't just in her memory, it is to boost the media’s effectiveness, because newsrooms don't have enough Azras. We especially encourage from within the care leaver or care experienced community.
