Newly Qualified Social Worker

Newly Qualified Social Worker Ilford, England

London Borough of Redbridge
Full Time Ilford, England 32988 - 34809 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

This is an exciting time for Redbridge as we are seeking Newly Qualified Social Workers to join our next cohort for the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme across our ‘Outstanding’ Children and Families services.

About the role:

As a Newly Qualified Social Worker (NQSW) you will be registered on the Department for Educations ‘Assessed & Supported Year in Employment’ (ASYE) programme, giving you access to a unique range of support and development opportunities in your first year of practice. Along with regular feedback and supervision from your manager, you will have access to protected development time to reflect on your progress against the PCF and KSS.

Your ASYE Professional Development Plan will tailor your progressive development needs to make best use of the support programme available to you including a reduced case load and a dedicated NQSW training programme.

Opportunities to feedback on your experience, share in case discussions with other NQSWs and meet regularly with senior managers (including the Principle Social Worker) are provided in our Group Supervision sessions.

Future career progression opportunities are provided through our Post Qualifying Continuous Profession Development programme. This will enable you to not only become the best practitioner you can be by the end of your ASYE, but to map out a career pathway for yourself in Redbridge.

You will have a detailed understanding of the Children's Act, relevant legislation policies and procedures; be registered with Social Work England and have a recognised social work qualification.

Redbridge is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. As part our safer recruitment strategy, all Social Worker posts require an Enhanced DBS check and references may be taken up prior to interview.
