A new opportunity has been created at Daimler Truck/EvoBus UK Ltd for an experienced New Vehicle PDI Technician, based at their head office in Coventry.

Your Tasks will include inspecting new vehicles in line with company processes and procedures. Identifying and rectifying vehicle defects in line with warranty and approval processes. Identifying and reporting any vehicle damage, rectifying any minor body or paint defects, and fitting all vehicle legal lettering. Carrying out retrofitting of parts and ensuring the vehicle warranty processes are always followed. Creating paperwork and job cards accurately and taking on additional tasks when required whilst always following the Health and Safety process.

About you
You will be an experienced PDI technician or semiskilled technician looking to learn a new trade. You will have a good understanding of the bus and coach/commercial vehicle industry, vehicle structure, mechanical and electrical knowledge. You must hold a UK driving licence, a PSV licence is desirable. You will be proficient in general IT applications with an ability to work within critical timescales and be able to prioritise tasks and apply a flexible approach to achieve objectives.
On Offer
A basic salary of £30,000 plus 10% shift allowance (based on 42-hour week) as well as a performance related bonus of up to £2,400 per annum based on set targets.
