Digital and Information Services at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint to the post of Network Technician.
The post holder will assist in the implementation, development, administration, and support of the University’s Network Services, to the staff and students.
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate you have:
- Academic or vocational qualifications (e.g. NVQ 3, ONC/OND or equivalents in a relevant subject).
- Substantial technical experience in a similar role which includes:
- Network switch configuration and installation
- Experience using a network management/monitoring system
- Modern cabling systems (Cat5e Cat6 and fibre optic cabling)
Or
- In the absence of the above qualification, substantial relevant demonstrable experience to include a-c above.
- Experience of basic troubleshooting of the network element of common client computing devices (Windows PCs, MACs etc.)
