Northern Ireland Electricity Networks (NIE Networks) is the owner of the electricity transmission and distribution networks in Northern Ireland, transporting electricity to over 910,000 customers including homes, businesses and farms.
The Network Operations business unit is responsible for the real and near time monitoring and operation of Northern Ireland’s distribution network, as well as our Emergency Plan to deal with significant network events. Planned and Fault & Emergency work is coordinated via the 24 x 7 Distribution Control Centre (DCC) and Dispatch functions, using a variety of systems owned by the Network Operations Systems and SCADA teams.
We are seeking to recruit a Network Operations Systems Manager. The Network Operations Systems Manager will have responsibility for leading a small team who own, maintain and develop a number of critical 24/7 IT systems (and associated processes) used within DCC, Dispatch and elsewhere within NIE Networks.
