Network & Firewall Engineer – Cloud & External Networks
Location: Ideally Leeds based with flexibility to work from home 2-3 days per week
Salary & Benefits: £38,000.00 - £55,000.00 GBP base salary, plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution (when you put in 6%), 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 28 days holiday plus bank holidays.

This role sits within the Cloud & External Networks team that manages external connectivity across multiple technologies.
Working with teams across LBG and outside of Group, you'll have responsibility in crafting how we design, support and maintain the end-to-end connectivity between ourselves and external partners.
We work closely to ensure that we maintain and support the platform in parallel to its ongoing evolution and together we can make it possible.

We know that people don't always fit neatly into roles, and we value everyone's individual skills, experiences, and knowledge - it's what makes you, you!
But we're looking for the below experience as a minimum:
- Solid experience of Cisco networking (CCNA or equivalent)
- In depth experience of working with firewall policy - Checkpoint and Cisco (Fortinet would be particularly advantageous but isn't essential)
- Knowledge of Networking and Security implementation
- Demonstrable experience of vendor management
- Experience of capacity management
You'll also need to be somebody who can lead a project and people, juggle multiple priorities and focuses on what is important to get the right outcome.
Other desirable skills could include:
- Experience of cloud infrastructure in Azure, GCP and other Public Cloud Provider experience is a plus
- A broad understanding of all modern networking components such as F5, DNS etc.
- JIRA/Confluence and knowledge of ServiceNow - Incident, Change and Problem Management
