Job description
Main purpose of role:
This is a full time, hybrid working role based in Manchester.
Key to the role is third line support of Gamma’s access solutions and the implementation of CPE support and security compliance. Working closely with the Ethernet provisioning and support teams to deliver, support and manage Gammas data access products.

Key responsibilities:
- Whole-life technical provisioning of Converged Ethernet Services
- Support converged ethernet services through in-life changes and technical assistance (including OOH support)
- Support Gammas MPLS solution is various access technologies (xDSL, Ethernet, LTE, etc.)
- Investigate security alerts and provide incident response.
- Liaise with stakeholders in relation to security issues and provide future recommendations.
- CPE Estate management – including monitoring, and configuration and firmware patching
- Involved in TSC product testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Comprehensive testing of new CPE offerings and reporting to Product Managers and Engineering.
- Pro-active in change control management monitoring/impact.
- Designing and delivering bespoke services as per customer requirements.

- A key part of the role is troubleshooting and diagnostics or customer CPE faults. Strong problem solving skills and a logical approach to troubleshooting is an essential skill.

- Working with IP Engineering and Products and being a key player in how CPE product offerings are delivered, secured and managed. Customer faults and resolution practices should be customer-focussed, but cost aware.

Experience and skills:
- Experience of working in a third line telecoms operational team.
- Extensive knowledge of Gamma’s network and Data products.
- High IP Literacy with knowledge of IP routing protocols.
- Knowledge of multi-vendor CPE and firewall technologies (Cisco, Juniper, PaloAlto, OneAccess, etc.)
- Self starter and demonstrable problem solving skills.
