About The Team:
Just like our Home Delivery Drivers, Our Networks team is responsible for making sure packets get to the right place in the quickest time possible.
Dunelm’s cloud first approach doesn’t stop with AWS and servers (or serverless). As part of Platform and Operations division, the Networks team have adopted the same philosophy. We have done away with controllers and complex data centre networks instead favouring intelligent, intent based networking. Our analytics-based WiFi solution tells us where users are having bad experience, our SD-WAN platform allows us to build a connection over any internet link and decides if an application breaks out to the internet or needs to be tunnelled internally. Our Internet Security platform allows our users to work securely from anywhere but without compromising our network edge.
Working with the Infrastructure Manager, the Network Team is built up of a Tech Lead and 5 engineers. We also work closely with our Compute and DBA team, Platform Engineering, DevSecOps, Infosec, Digital Workspace and Service Operations teams.
To assist with the support of our 195+ locations Dunelm also contracts a networks support provider that provide proactive remote and onsite support, monitoring and additional engineering capacity.
