Locations: Birmingham (must be willing to be based at and travel to client sites throughout the UK)

As a team:

You be required to perform “Business as usual” or Project implementations including design, build and system deployments, including troubleshooting, security and configuration changes.

This may either be based from a multi-client delivery centre or at client sites for extended period of times when required.

In our team we are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with:

  • Working knowledge of network security including firewall configuration and security policy management
  • Working knowledge of networking protocols and an understanding of EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, and IP multicast.
  • Management of LAN/WAN environments including device protocols and communication standards, such as Cisco, Juniper or Fortinet
  • Administration of Firewall systems such as FortiGate, Palo Alto Juniper, Checkpoint or Cisco
  • Knowledge of Load balancer solutions
  • VPN and Remote Access solutions
  • Associate level Network certification (CC, JNCIA or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of Implementing and supporting large corporate or data centre networks preferably in a multi-client, service provider environment.
  • Eligibility for UK Government security clearance

As a Network Engineer, you will:

  • Manage firewall security.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity incidents (this includes routing, switching and security).
  • Build, configure and maintain network infrastructures as per best practices.
  • Identify service improvements to reduce risk and improve stability.
  • Producing high quality implementation scripts, test plans and change controls for all network changes.

We are looking for experience in the following skills:

  • Implementing low-level network designs as specified by Network Architects.
  • Management of Network Security appliances (example: Next Gen Firewalls with UTM).
  • Management of Load Balancing appliances.
  • On-going maintenance of network infrastructure in-line with Accenture/vendor security/compliance recommendations.
  • Creating, maintaining, and reviewing operational and technical design documentation.
  • Analysis of network performance statistics using a variety of tools.
  • Strong incident fault finding skills and experience.
  • Network monitoring and alerting

Set yourself apart:

  • Experience in operational management of Firewall central management tools e.g. Palo Alto Panorama.
  • Experience with physical and virtual firewalls.
  • Knowledge of Network security and threat management.
  • Experience with creating/managing IPSEC VPN Tunnels.
  • Knowledge of public cloud services e.g. AWS VPC, AWS EC2, Azure NSGs, Azure VMs
  • Ability to develop network automation through use of scripts e.g. Python
  • Network Professional level certifications (CCNP, JNCIS, PCNSE or equivalent)
  • Existing UK Government security clearance is required to work on UK Government contracts.
