Job Description
Purpose and Scope:
As a member of the team the IT and Network Administrator Coop reports to the Controller. The IT and Network Administrator is responsible for the maintenance of the enterprise network and server infrastructure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitors performance and maintains integrity of CSD servers, network, cabling, etc.
  • Maintenance of DC controlled manufacturing for production equipment
  • Activate/manage corporate cell phone allocation
  • Second level support for primary desktop support role at home facility
  • Implementation of IT related projects, both software and hardware
  • Liaise with corporate IT for integrated support issues
  • Manage IT purchases for the facility (e.g. computers, cables, printers, switches)
  • Disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
  • Determine the rationale and methods for upgrading company network software programs each time an update is released
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
  • Coordinate with outside IT vendors for North American software licenses, printer leases etc.
  • Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications, Education And / or Experience:
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008/20012
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with Cisco Switches, Routers, Wireless LAN and Firewalls
  • Experience in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and resolving Microsoft SQL issues
  • Experience running a 24*7 environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
Technical & Skill Requirements:
  • Experienced in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and resolving Microsoft Hyper-V technologies
  • Knowledge of third party products and services, including Microsoft System Centre, Blackberry BES, and APPASSURE
