Job description
The Role
- Provides technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel in diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex computer systems, software, or networked and/or wireless systems.
- Provides technical support in the operation and maintenance of vendor products, services, and solutions. Involved in report design, solving reliability and maintenance problems or bugs, and design engineering/software engineering. May be involved in customer installation and training.
- Provides support to customer/users on highly technical or sophisticated products.
- Requires knowledge of one or more networking system technology areas.
- Ensure that all customer Network devices and solutions are implemented according to the agreed quality SLAs and KPIs.
- Define and embed consistent build and operational processes to support on-going support activities, driving improvements.
- Able to achieve SC clearance.
Who You Are
- Demonstrate substantial practical skill in specific technical areas to achieve the role accountabilities at a high level of proficiency with following technologies: Cisco ASA - Single Contexts Checkpoint Firewalls Cisco Switching & Routing – Catalyst/Nexus F5 LTM – Load Balancing Bluecoat proxies Cisco ISE – TACACS Wireshark/TCP Dump
- Arcsight ESM/Collector/Logger Linux experience.
- Windows experience.
- VMware experience - NSX Basic Scripting – BASH/TCL/Python Degree Level qualifications in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or industry experience.
- Good understanding of ITIL principles and their application.
- Professional industry recognized accreditations in relevant technologies, e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CCSA, CCSE.
- Experience of enterprise scale managed services / web hosting environment.
