Job description
We are looking for someone who has a focus on helping others, is good with details but able to focus on the bigger picture, is supportive, is committed to excellence, and able to quickly learn new systems and processes.
About the opportunity
The purpose of this role is to become NetSuite User experts and support our research project leaders and team leaders in using our financial and project management system, NetSuite. The main focus will be on doing the tasks in NetSuite necessary for managing project budgets, staffing allocations, invoicing, and providing guidance and training to staff in how to use NetSuite.
We are filling up to two fixed term positions (12 months), ranging from 0.8 to 1.0 FTE. The positions report to the NetSuite Support Team Leader and can be based at our sites in Hamilton or Lincoln.
About you
You have experience working with financial or project management systems and project administration, ideally in a research environment. You are knowledgeable about project budgeting and accounting concepts, and have strong problem-solving, people and communication skills, as well as the ability to plan, prioritise and get things done with others in an influencing and coordinating role. You have experience supporting others, providing guidance and training, and are willing to lend a hand when needed. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and competency in standard business work processes and systems (e.g. word processing, spreadsheeting, data management, project management applications).
