We are looking for talented individuals to join our Energy, Environment, Communication and Infrastructure (EECI) practice in London.

Responsibilities
Examples of our work might involve the evaluation of climate change and energy policies, including emissions, renewable energy and energy efficiency policies; the assessment of economic impacts including costs, benefits and other social effects of a wide variety of government policies and regulations to markets, businesses and assets; auction design and/or simulation, and competitors’ analysis; the development of pricing systems for transport infrastructure; or the preparation of expert reports on a range of economic and finance issues in litigation and international arbitration proceedings.
This is a unique opportunity for you to work on real cases and projects to gain invaluable experience in economic consulting. Collaborating with internationally-recognised experts, you will learn more about the integral work that NERA performs.
Interns at NERA will have the opportunity to work on real cases and:
- Conduct literature and data research
- Perform conceptual analysis applying the theoretical literature to the facts of a case
- Manage and clean data
- Analyse data and interpret results
- Have active participation in drafting reports, memoranda, presentations and other work products
You will need
- To be studying Economics. You will either be in the final year of your undergraduate studies, or a current Master’s or PhD student in Economics, ideally in your penultimate year
- To enjoy microeconomics and quantitative research
- To be comfortable working in Excel, Stata, R, Python or other quantitative software platforms
- To have strong attention to detail and be able to think analytically and critically
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, and fluency in another language would be useful but is not essential
- To be able to work effectively both individually and in teams
