We are seeking to recruit an Operations Manager to work as part of a newly established operational management and supervisory structure across LSSL. The purpose of the role will be to assume overall operational responsibility for the delivery of frontline services aligning with the delivery of the Company’s Business Plan objectives and a localised neighbourhood approach. The successful candidate in this role will be appointed as an operational manager within our Neighbourhoods Service.
As part of this role, you will be required to lead the operational public realm services, supporting the development of medium to longer term operational delivery plans and integrating these with current and future operational practices and service plans across service areas. You will be required to assume responsibility for service delivery in line with agreed contract outputs and key performance indicators as well as performance that is aligned with APSE and other benchmarking upper quartile indicators.
As a senior officer within LSSL, the role holder will be responsible for promoting and achieving a one team approach of integration and improvement in operational delivery across designated functions and/or defined geographical areas/neighbourhoods. The role holder will be the key interface internally between operational supervisors and front line staff and the Head of Operations and will require close, effective working with other operational managers. The role will incorporate building effective relationships with a range of stakeholders and engagement through a number of channels to enable the promotion and delivery of service objectives.
The successful candidate must be willing to manage and deliver against budget and performance data/intelligence targets in line with LSSL’s policies and procedures.
To fulfil the requirements of the role and be shortlisted for an interview you should clearly evidence on your application form how you meet the following essential criteria:
- Significant management experience in delivering public facing operational services.
- Methodical, well organised, and analytical with the ability to produce quality work.
- Demonstrable success in designing and delivering services and projects with regard to available capacity and resources.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders that generate confidence and respect.
- Ability to identify, develop and implement practical and innovative solutions to operational service delivery problems.
- Understanding of change management and evidence of delivering new or improved services, including more cost-effective outcomes.
- Demonstrable skills in leadership, people management and partnership working that empower and motivate others to deliver.
- Evidence of success in delivering service delivery change and transformation within tight budget constraints.
