Neighbourhood Caretaker
Grade 3 - £23,194 - £29,438
Permanent
Working 36.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Council’s Housing Management Team. As one of the largest landlords with a retained housing stock, we deliver a range of services across the city and work in partnership with our communities to provide well managed homes and neighbourhoods.

We are looking for someone who will work flexibly in a team. You will be responsible for managing both high- and low-rise properties in a defined area. You will manage a small team responsible for cleaning the properties to a high standard, for reporting repairs as required and ensuring that the properties are kept free from hazards and meet our Health and Safety standards.

A good knowledge of cleaning and property management, particularly Health and Safety would be helpful but full training will be provided.

You will be required to:

  • Supervise estate caretakers, undertaking one to one’s, return to work interviews, identify training needs, setting targets and undertake risk assessments.
  • Daily patrols of the neighbourhood to improve and help maintain kerb appeal.
  • Block Inspections
  • Driver training to drive large vehicles (e.g Tipper)
  • The ability to communicate with our various stakeholders.

A full valid driving license is a requirement for this post.
