NEET Caseworker for Care Experienced Young People, Grade 8 (£35,217-£37,038)
Fixed Term Contract until 31 August 2024
Croydon is recruiting a NEET caseworker to support our care experienced young people aged 16 – 19 (or up to 25 if they have an Education & Health Care Plan (EHCP), who are either at risk of becoming or who already are not in education, employment or training (NEET).

In your role, you will effectively manage a caseload, supporting and empowering young people. The work you do will also involve working with other professionals, parents / carers, staff in schools and colleges, training providers and employers.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who has specific experience of working with vulnerable young people, has a sound understanding of care leavers’ priorities as well as well as broader youth engagement expertise. The caseworker, who will work alongside our NEET Leaving Care officer, will be responsible for the creative planning and delivery of a range of face-to-face engagement sessions to care experienced young people looked after to Croydon. This could be to groups of young people as well as individuals. The role will include some data entry, project evaluation and report writing to ensure service delivery targets are met.
We are recruiting to one full-time post on a 12-month fixed term basis (in the first instance), which may include occasional working evening and weekend hours.
