Cambridgeshire County Council is offering an exciting opportunity for a NEC Supervisor in our Complex Infrastructure Team within Project Delivery. (NEC - New Engineering Contract).
The Complex Infrastructure Team manage large projects from concept stage delivering strategic business cases through to design and construction phases following completion of outline and full business cases. This programme involves challenging and exciting projects that make a considerable difference to our communities.
Overall purpose of the role
Monitor quality, assess compliance, and report progress across varied infrastructure construction projects when being delivered on site.
Agreement of works and ensure they are constructed in accordance with the County Council’s current design guidance and construction specifications.
The Project Delivery Directorate manages all key highways contracts including the Term Service Contract, the Eastern Highways Alliance Framework, the Professional Services Framework and the Street Lighting PFI contract. We also commission and manage multiple high profile projects which use the New Engineering Contract form (NEC). The Supervisor role covers all duties under the NEC Contract including but not limited to management of defects, quality and specifications as well as maintaining site diaries and building strong relationships with supply chain partners.

About youYou will have a civil engineering or related qualification and ideally the relevant NEC supervisor accreditation or a working knowledge of the current relevant legislation.
You'll need to be proactive and be able to take the lead in liaising with a variety of internal and external partners, consultants and contractors.
