Job description

NAVBLUE, an Airbus Company, is currently seeking a Navigation + Analyst to join our growing team. You will be responsible for maintaining records in Navblue’s aeronautical database. Record types include runways, waypoints, coordinates, altitudes, airways and airspace etc. You will use visual comparison, as well as a variety of software, to compare state published text and images with database records and update the database as required.

Responsibilities:Compare text and images in new aeronautical publications with existing records in the Navblue database. Update records in database in accordance with structured Navblue procedures, as well as regulatory and customer requirements.Investigate and reply to customer queries via customer support portal.Using instruction and overarching guidelines, raise queries with aeronautical publication providers to clarify documents and resolve issuesWork is reprioritized by senior members of the team, and the employee must be adaptable to these changing requirementsManage personal workload effectively using organizational and time management skills to achieve scheduled production targets. Effectively communicating and collaborating with the team in order to meet the Navigation+ departmental goals.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience working in companies in the aviation industry (dispatching, engineering, flight services, logistics)
  • Experience working in GIS or Cartography
  • Technical aviation knowledge (Air Traffic Management Systems or Navigation systems)
  • Knowledge of aviation safety/QMS/Safety Management Systems
  • Interest in aviation, cartography or geography

Qualifications:

  • Educated to A level or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Geography, GIS or Aeronautics preferred
