Nature and Biodiversity SME

Working with the GSC and Vx sites to implement programmes of work with the objectives of:
- Achieving GSK Nature positive ambition to 2030.
- Establishing and implementing biodiversity roadmaps at every site.
- Managing central sustainability budget to implement biodiversity plans.
- Lead workshops and events to support sites achieving biodiversity uplifts.
- Ensuring that new site development fit with the biodiversity roadmap of the site.
- Guide Capital teams on the biodiversity opportunities.

In this role you will
- Reporting to the Head of Sustainability Engineering, Centre of Excellence.
- Support GSC Engineering and EHS leadership teams with the setting and delivery of challenging but achievable targets.
- Lead, coach and support sites to develop a sustainable programme of project activity and deliver this programme in line with GSK expectations.
- To work independently but is not expected to have any direct staff responsibilities,
- Manage 3rd party partnership companies.

Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- An Environmental and Development master’s degree or equivalent.
- Proven track record of implementing biodiversity plans into operations.
- Subject matter expert in land use / biodiversity / natural capital.
- An ability to define and lead a complex programme of multi-site site activity, realizing proven benefits.
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills - able to operate at all levels in the organisation.
- A track record of working with and influencing a wide range of senior and practitioner stakeholders at site and above site levels to develop and deliver coherent improvement activity and changes in ways of working.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Experienced in biodiversity, nature restoration and sustainable use of natural resources.
- A broad knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing site operations and multiple functions.
- The ability to grasp detail, sensitivities and business context to make necessary recommendations.
