What You'll Do?
- To adjudicate on ALL types of serious cases within Grassroots Football including; E3 Assault / Attempted Assault on a Match Official, E3 Physical Contact / Attempted Physical Contact on a Match Official, E3 Threatening a Match Official, E3 Assault Participant on Participant, E3.2 breaches, E4 breaches, E20 / E21 breaches (aggravated) and any consolidated matters in relation to serious cases.
- To correctly administer the inquisitorial hearing procedures.
- Ensure the application of the fair disciplinary hearing to the participant(s) involved.
- To apply FA Disciplinary Regulation correctly and adhere to relevant procedures.
- To provide feedback on the hearing through the disciplinary survey.
- To ensure full compliance with the Discipline Code of Conduct and Confidentiality Agreement.
- Satisfy the time commitments required as listed.
- Satisfy the administration requirements as listed.
- Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.
- As part of The FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role and in line with legislation and government guidance.
What You'll Need?
- Strong understanding of the disciplinary process in football or other similar setting.
- Strong understanding of the inquisitorial process.
- Be able to apply discipline regulation as drafted.
- Strong understanding of the FA Appeals Process.
- Able to recognise a personal conflict and not be in a position of conflict.
- Experience as a disciplinary panel member within a County Football Association or similar setting.
- Experience in dealing with preliminary matters before a disciplinary hearing.
- Not currently working within the disciplined environment for a County Football Association.
- Not previously removed from the National Serious Case Panel/former LFADP panel or County Football Association disciplinary panel.
- Experience in dealing with young people / vulnerable adults within a disciplinary setting or similar.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office/Products.
- Be able to coherently formulate written reasons for decisions.
- Understand the disciplinary challenges County FAs face.
- Understand the secondary challenges to disciplinary decisions i.e. SCOR/SCORY.
- Be legally qualified.
- Experience in practising law within the courts or arbitral setting.
- Experience working on Appeal Boards.
- Ensure written reasons are returned to [email protected] within 3 working days of the hearing.
- Ensure attendance at the National Serious Case Panel Conference.
- Ensure attendance at all modular training sessions.
- Ensure all mandatory assessments are undertaken and passed before the expiry period.
- Be able to offer at least 14 Morning and/or Afternoon and/or Evening availability sessions per month for disciplinary hearings via Judicial Calendar.
- Sign the Discipline Code of Conduct and Confidentiality Agreement.
