Job description

We have an exciting opportunity in our Store Operations Project Team.

You would work specifically within Internal Communications and assist with the efficient flow of communications, ensuring our colleagues receive accurate information that is consistent in tone and format.

You will be responsible for handling incoming enquiries to the team from a wide range of internal stakeholders, acting as a professional first point of contact. You would be required to translate information from departmental language to operations language where required, selecting the proper communication channel to get information to the correct audience in time for it to be actioned.

You would report to our Store Operations Project Manager. It is an exciting time to join the team, with a lot of activity planned for 2023 and beyond. Your role will be pivotal in helping to develop, implement and evolve our internal communication methods, providing a simpler workplace and improving the colleague experience at ALDI on a National scale.

Relevant experience in an administration-based role is essential whilst experience in the fields of content writing, social media or a journalism-based setting would be beneficial.

Your New Role

  • Provide a comprehensive and professional support service to the Store Operations Project Manager
  • Review internal business correspondence and information, ensuring accuracy and consistency of tone and format
  • Translate information from departmental language to operations language where required
  • Ensure the correct communication channel is used to get information to the correct audience in time for it to be actioned
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal business stakeholders, responding to requests in a polite and professional manner
  • Ensure the successful and timely completion of tasks, projects, presentations, memos, minutes and reports delegated to them by the Store Operations Project Manager

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, plan ahead and effectively prioritise conflicting requirements

  • Flexible to business requirements and able to change plans as circumstances change
  • Strong work ethic and a team player
  • Fully proficient in all elements of Microsoft Office along with the ability to quickly understand new software
  • Creative skills for spotting communications opportunities and contributing new and innovative ideas
  • Takes personal responsibility for resolving queries and issues
  • Ability to ask the right questions, challenging ineffective and inefficient processes
  • Ability to take initiative and put newly acquired knowledge into practice quickly
  • Relevant experience in communications as a Communications Assistant, Communication Specialist or similar role
  • Knowledge or experience in the fields of content writing, social media, or a journalism-based setting
