Job description

This role is about bringing a passion for implementing IT solutions that will help us do things better as a business.

Our National IT teams support Aldi by delivering our system and infrastructure needs. With your knowledge of logistics, finance or store management (for example), you'll have the foresight as to how we can evolve. And as we're all about growth, challenges will be around every corner. Just the way you like it.

We do things our own way at Aldi. But whatever we're doing, we must be getting it right. With a wave of impressive sales figures behind us, we're opening new stores at lightning speed. As our customers grow and change with technical advances, our own people and business need to as well.

Aldi are looking for a highly motivated Data Migration expert to join the team on a 23-month fixed term contract. We are looking for someone who can co-ordinate, communicate and manage all elements of Data Planning activities in prep for Data Migration as part of GB/IE Pilot and further industrialisation. The successful individual will be responsible for setting up the end-to-end process of data migration activities as part of the deployment and work closely with the National Data Office ensuring high data quality is achieved in steady state. This includes impact and data resource planning activities as part of the deployment programme on behalf of and in collaboration with all domains. Continual Service Improvement of data quality is a must, and the individual should proactively liaise with appropriate Business Data Stewards implemented as part of the National Data Office setup to achieve this objective.

A role in the Cross Deployment Management Office Team is a great opportunity in helping to deliver the project. You'll gain valuable experience working on a global transformation project and form relationships with GB/IE colleagues across all domains and across the ALDI global network of countries.

Reporting into one of the Cross Deployment Management Office Team Managers, the candidate will need to collaborate and co-ordinate a variety of people with different skills sets at all levels across all domains. The position requires strong communication skills, stakeholder management, attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced but sometimes ambiguous environment. In addition, the candidate will need to acquire enough technical and operational understanding to be able to act as a sounding board for the leadership team in all data matters relating to the deployment project.

Due to the critical nature of the role, supporting data migration activities in regions as part of Go Live, working shift patterns across a number of weeks will be required to ensure all incidents are prioritised and actioned accordingly, ensuring continued business operation.

If you’re always striving to improve and want to join a really important part of the business, apply to join #TeamAldi today!
