Qualifications
Five (5) or more years of overall consumer packaged goods experience, demonstrating skilful negotiation capabilities with Buyers- Buyers in the FMCG industry preferable
- Experience in developing and implementing strong commercial plans that exceed expected goals
- Ability to analyse data and monitor retail patterns to identify opportunities and risks
- Solid understanding of financials including P&L impact of sales decisions
- Highly motivated, self-starter and team-oriented individual with excellent communication, negotiation, influencing and follow up skills
Responsibilities
The National Account Manager (NAM) provides leadership to a top tier strategic customer/retail partner- This role is responsible for leading the sales and marketing efforts related to the customer, helping to ensure that the companies’ brands/ranges achieve targeted revenue & profit.
- Spearhead the relationship and negotiation to drive profitable sales through new and existing business
- At all times provide strong strategic direction/thinking to maintain competitive advantage
- Utilize Market, Category, Brand, and Shopper insights to deliver actionable solutions for the customer that focus on volume, share, and ROI goals
- Accountable for the planning and execution of self-built strategic plans and maintain internal processes
- Develop superior retailer relations through fact-based selling, product and market insight, pre and post sales analyses, promotions/joint brand planning, and accurate and timely pricing submissions
- Ability to travel throughout the day for visits to customer accounts and meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Location: Lindal in Furness, Cumbria
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time, 38.5 per week
