Reporting directly to the Head of National Accounts in Intermediary Sales you’ll be responsible for developing and sustaining a portfolio of National Accounts distributors to build mutually beneficial partnerships with the senior management teams within each distributor. You’ll hold the responsibility to define, deliver and review tailored plans for each account to deliver the strategic objectives and tactical solutions required for the business.

Here’s what you’ll be doing…

  • Managing our strategic relationships with Intermediary Distribution National Account Partners;
  • Representing the face of Virgin Money within the National Accounts, networking with senior teams and firm principles;
  • Ensuring that Virgin Money remain part of our Partner's strategy going forward - through regular contact via review / partnership meetings and activity to support a mutually beneficial relationship;
  • Managing an accurate record of meetings and actions which ensure the delivery of lending and quality requirements;
  • Managing a marketing budget with each of the Partners to deliver strong share of voice in terms of external activity creating opportunities to showcase the Virgin Money brand to drive mortgage trading performance;
  • Analysing performance and looking for opportunities to drive trading performance through working collaboratively with the National Accounts Partners, their firms and our intermediary sales teams;
  • Delivering presentations (predominantly market, thought leadership and value add) to large and small audiences (across podium presentations & panel debates) and work with BDMs to support their involvement in National Account Events – which includes pre and post event activity;
  • Working closely with the BDM and Regional Management team to ensure that agreed actions drive the core relationships and ensuring we work collectively as a team to drive trading performance;
  • Identifying opportunities to deliver the brand proposition to our Partners and their members which have the potential to add value to our mutual businesses;
  • Build a network of industry contacts in corporate bodies, press and competitors to ensure market knowledge remains current;
  • Collate insight from external market contacts to share with internal stakeholders to help shape future group activity;
  • Working closely with a number of internal stakeholders who can help support with a variety of elements of the role – allowing you to maximise your time spent with our National Account Partners, Broker firms and our BDM team;
  • Ensure timely and effective complaint handling / resolution where required;
  • Manage and maintain legal contracts with National Accounts.

To be successful, you’ll need to bring…

  • Experience of the intermediary mortgage industry;
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills where you are able to quickly build strong relationships with people at all levels both with our National Account Partners and internally within the Virgin Money Group;
  • A passion for presenting and a creative mind to not only helping Virgin Money stand out from the rest but also you as an individual;
  • The ability to travel nationally as this role does involve travel and there are likely to be overnight stays to maximise the use of your time;
  • Microsoft Office365 skills which includes regular use of Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Teams plus the occasional use of third-party video conferencing i.e. Zoom, StreamGo etc.

  • Previous experience of working with National Account partners.
