As a National Account Manager working with our Outdoor LED & Lamps portfolio, you’ll be responsible for building and fostering relationships with Distributors, Installers and Local Authorities in order to maximize sales and profitability. You will support the further elevation of the brand within key National companies.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for building, managing and maintaining customer relationships through the Trade sector. You’ll be part of the Signify UK&I Trade and Specification Team and will work closely with the sales & marketing teams in UK&I and Europe.
Our UK&I head office in Guildford is start of the art, and a great working environment. This role is field based and the ecosystem that we are looking to develop is centered on a National role.

What you’ll do
  • Build, maintain and improve partnerships with key National and Regional influencers responsible for the construction and development of Outdoor Lighting upgrades thorough a thorough understanding of their business and how Signify can best leverage and support.
  • Initiate and coordinate efforts within the accounts in order to maximize commercial results and long term sustainable relationships.
  • Create account plans and define commercial strategies based on budget targets.
  • Generate new business opportunities through scouting of internal and external sources.
  • Drive and support processes around:
    • Ordering and delivery (pricing, ordering process, supply chain, operations);
    • Customer onboarding (contracting, negotiation, price agreements).
Your qualifications
  • A Bachelor's or Master’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • You hold at least 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the lighting sector.
  • A strong understanding of the Electrical Industry.
  • Familiarity with the outdoor lighting ecosystem would be much appreciated.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build excellent relationships with customers.
  • Creativity combined with analytical skills to create realistic, attainable and profitable opportunities and (business) plans.
  • You are a skilled negotiator, influencer and you bring a results-focused mindset.
  • Flexible attitude allowing for responding tactically to changing demands or unexpected opportunities.
