Compensation: £30K - £40K+ per annum
Schedule: Monday to Friday 50h per week
A dynamic and caring nanny is sought to provide exceptional care for two boys, ages 2 and 4, with an additional newborn due in September. The nanny will work on a combination of sole and shared charge basis while the mother is on maternity leave. The ideal candidate should possess a zest for outdoor activities, be skilled in planning engaging experiences, and contribute to the children's development. Knowledge of gluten-free cooking is preferred, and a pet-friendly attitude is essential. Accommodation will be provided in a separate, newly built annexe in the garden, featuring a private double bedroom, shower room, and shared access to a kitchen/living space.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide attentive and nurturing care to the two boys, as well as the newborn once they arrive.
Organise and facilitate age-appropriate activities and outings, emphasizing outdoor exploration and enjoyment.
Prepare wholesome and delicious gluten-free meals for the children, considering their dietary needs.
Foster the children's development by actively participating in their growth, including the encouragement of good manners and social skills.
Establish and maintain a structured routine, ensuring the children have a well-balanced and stimulating daily experience.
Assist with basic household duties related to the children's care.
Create a safe and nurturing environment that supports the children's well-being.
Cultivate a network within the local community, connecting with other families and nannies.
Demonstrate comfort and friendliness toward the family's dogs and chickens, although pet care responsibilities are handled by the family.
Requirements:
Prior experience in a nanny or childcare role, demonstrating a genuine passion for working with children.
Strong enthusiasm for engaging children in outdoor activities and the ability to plan age-appropriate adventures.
Knowledge of gluten-free cooking or willingness to acquire such skills.
Ability to instil good manners, positive behavior, and respectful communication in children.
Flexible and adaptable to accommodate the evolving needs of a growing family.
Excellent communication skills to build relationships with children, parents, and the local community.
Possession of a valid driver's license is preferred, but not mandatory.
Comfort and acceptance of dogs and chickens as part of the household.
Accommodation: The nanny will enjoy the privacy of a separate, newly built annexe situated in the garden. This accommodation offers a spacious double bedroom and a convenient shower room. Additionally, the nanny will have shared access to a second kitchen/living space, although it is currently used infrequently for entertaining and primarily reserved for future plans.
