First-time parents-to-be are searching for a nanny for their baby girl due in July! They are very excited about becoming parents and hope to find a nanny who is experienced and very comfortable caring for infants. The ideal nanny will be knowledgeable and flexible, understanding that the parents will develop their care preferences for the baby over time. Communication and transparency are essential!
Dad is introverted and an excellent listener. He loves DIY projects and writing software. Mom is very friendly. She works in photography but has a big love for the arts overall. She loves the family dog, Pixel, and is very protective of him (MUST love dogs!). Dad will be working from home 2 days per week. Mom’s work in photography is flexible, so there will be times she works from home and others when she is working on location. Both parents value consistent, open communication and honesty and expect the nanny to work autonomously.

The Details
Location: Redmond (98052)
Start Date: August 29, 2023
Children: Newborn due July 05, 2023
Hours: 32 guaranteed hours per week, with opportunities for a 5thday of work during the workweek if the nanny is available.
Schedule: Monday – Thursday 9am-5pm
Compensation: $30-35/hr.
Benefits: 10 days of PTO + Paid Holidays
Duration: Long-term. The nanny MUST be able to commit for AT least one year
Pets: 1 cherished border collie named Pixel
Driving: Nanny must have a valid driver license, auto insurance, responsible driving record and reliable car to get to/from the family’s home.
Covid-19 and other illness: The family prefers to interview vaccinated nannies committed to staying up to date on vaccinations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide nurturing and supportive care
- Follow the schedule as provided by parents
- Communicate effectively with parents
- Prepare and wash bottles as needed
- Prepare and clean up solids as needed
- Motivate and encourage milestones
- Discuss development regularly with parents
- Infant laundry as needed
- Prep and clean bottles
- Keep play areas tidy
- Take initiative! Helping out whenever and wherever possible.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Be energetic and outgoing with a self-directed personality and a “can do” attitude
- Have AT LEAST 3 years of experience with infants
- Proficient in child development
- Have stellar references
- Have a responsible driving record and be willing to provide a complete driving history report from the DOL
- Infant and Child CPR/First Aid Certified (or willingness to renew before starting the position)
- Willingness to submit to a Background check
- Ability to make at least a one-year commitment
- Non-smoking
- Willingness to stay updated on vaccines per the family’s wishes
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
