Full-time live-out nanny required for a warm DUMBO family with a 3 yr old boy starting ASAP. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for all child related duties including providing nurturing care and interacting with their son in a fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate way. You will also be expected to assist with household items including small errands, packages, light cleaning and organizing, meal prep and laundry.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone positive, active and engaging and has flexibility in their schedule based on family needs. The ideal candidate is someone who is proactive, experienced with toddler milestones and who appreciates open communication with the family. The candidate should be experienced/comfortable assisting with household tasks, including preparing mainly plant based family meals (son is in school full time from September 2023)

Location: DUMBO, NY

Start date: Spring/Summer - in place by Sep 2023.

Days/times: Monday to Friday approx. 30-40 hrs a week. The family wants to find the best of the best! Willing to be flexible on schedule for the right candidate. General schedule would be 12-8pm with flexibility/availability for alternate hours as needed (school holidays, vacations, etc). Domestic and International travel is expected.

Children: One son - aged 3 (turning 4 in September)

Conditions: $25 - $30 per hour* plus unlimited metro card, public holidays and full two weeks paid leave per year

For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:

• Authorization to work in the US
• A minimum of 3 years experience as a nanny, 5 years preferred
• A well-suited demeanor for working with toddlers
• Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
• Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of
  child growth and development
• Ability to complete all child related duties (including, but not limited to: meal preparation, cleaning up/tidying bedroom and play areas, laundry, researching and planning playdates and activities, etc
• Experience/willingness to assist with household tasks (light housekeeping, errands, packages)
• Interest/experience in preparing nutritious family meals (mostly vegetarian/plant based)
• Ability to commit for a minimum of 2 years for all permanent positions
• A clean background to pass our comprehensive background check and social media checks
• A professional appearance
• An open and flexible schedule and ability to travel (at least 1-2 international trips/year)
• A valid passport (or willingness to obtain)

Additional qualifications we look for:

• Training and certifications such as First Aid, CPR & AED, early childhood education, defensive driving, water safety certification, etc.
• A four-year college degree from an accredited university
