Job description
A fabulous role has become available in Iver, Buckinghamshire. This friendly and professional family of four is looking for a nanny who can stay long term and become part of their happy family unit.
You will be caring for two little girls, aged 17 months and 3 months. As Mum is at home, this is a shared care role. Flexibility in this role is a must. Mum will sometimes leave both children with you and go off to do her own thing. Other times, she will take just one child to gain quality time with each of them. There may also be times when you all do something together.
The hours will be Monday to Thursday, 07:30-17:00 and Friday, 07.30-13.00
The parents are keen for their children to learn and develop in a balanced way, to help them reach their various developmental milestones – with lots of stimulating indoor fun (games, reading, singing, dancing, jigsaw puzzles, crafts, imaginary games, baking, etc.) mixed with plenty of outdoor play and walks to the park.
The parents would like the children to attend playdates and groups to allow them to socialise with other children, ensuring their happiness and safety at all times. The family has annual passes to local attractions such as farms and amusement parks.
The family lives in a beautiful five-bedroom house with a large garden. As they have a swimming pool, a nanny who is confident in the water would be advantageous.
Since they employ a cleaner, this role will involve nursery duties only, but some help to keep the house running smoothly would be appreciated – emptying the dishwasher, doing a load of laundry, ensuring all rooms are tidy at the end of the day, etc. In addition to keeping all areas the children use clean and tidy (kitchen, bedrooms, children’s bathroom, playroom, etc.), the nursery duties will include staying on top of the children’s laundry and providing them with healthy and nutritious meals each day (home-cooked from scratch as often as possible). An understanding of weaning is essential. As the baby grows, these meals are to be blended (age-appropriate), with plenty made in advance and frozen for the parents to use for the baby at weekends.
You must be a careful and confident driver with a clean licence and your own fully insured car.
Although not essential, a nanny who would like to travel on holiday with the family would be advantageous.
This is a wonderful role and would suit someone who is happy to make a long-term commitment.
