Job description
A beautiful family of three based in Whetstone, N20 are looking for a permanent daily sole charge nanny (39 hrs weekly over 3.5 days). You must be experienced (with toddlers), organised, high energy, personable, self starter, neat and tidy, mature and kind. A driver would be a bonus (with own car). Parking is available. This lovely couple would love to welcome someone to join their family for the longer term.
The family have a beautiful 19 month old son. Both parents work half of their time from home. They’ll stay out your way and leave you in sole charge.
Start date: Monday, 11th September 2023 (with some gradual settling in days in August ideally).
Days and hours; 39 hrs weekly; 3.5 days weekly.
Monday and Tuesday: 7:30am to 6:30pm. Weds: 12 noon to 7pm & Thurs: 12 noon to 10pm. In addition, the family can offer ad-hoc baby sitting which can be discussed and agreed based on mutual agreement.
Salary; Between £36,500 to £40,500 annually depending on your experience, skills and qualifications (£18-£20 gross hourly).
You will be expected to take the child to local activities and classes (manage any play days), walks in the park and lots of age appropriate play. You’ll have knowledge and a deep passion to support the child in improving his cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being. You’ll be super organised and be excellent at managing his routine, naps and meal times, bath time and prepare him for bed. Someone who is happy to cook and prepare nutritious meals / snacks for the child will be important.
You would be expected to manage all child related duties such as tidying up and washing/ ironing the child’s clothes and organising anything related to the child. The family have a cleaner weekly and so no deep cleaning would be expected. The right person would be happy to do some basic light housework, unloading dishwasher, picking up the odd groceries and helping with some light errands. You will need to be organised and efficient and will not need micromanaging.
You will need to have a genuine love for spending time with a toddler/young child.
You must have relevant experience caring for children of this age, a valid paediatric first aid certificate, an enhanced DBS certificate, have a positive disposition and excellent checkable references.
