Musician/ singer for care home music sessions Cambridge, East of England, England
Job description
Musicteam are a small care home music agency, we require a singer with backing tracks, or a singer who also plays guitar to perform at care homes across the Cambridge region. The sessions are usually an hour in length, with some two-hour sessions also.
You must have a large and varied repertoire, with a mix of contemporary songs and sing along songs for the elderly age group/ over 60's. Overall, we require artistes with a great sense of empathy and compassion for working with all ages and abilities.
The work is ongoing and year round, often building up to substantial daytime income (perfect for the artiste who may have night time gigs and not much in the way of work during the day). You must be self-employed and DBS checked. If you are not DBS checked we can at your cost process that for you.
We cannot offer massive hourly rates, these are care homes and as such they have a budget to work to, so most work is in the region of £40 to £60 per hour, with some half hour sessions pro rata. Overall, we try to link jobs together on the same day to make more cost-effective when you commute.
