JOB OVERVIEW
Kent College, Canterbury are seeking an experienced Teacher of Trumpet and Cornet to teach individual instrumental lessons at our Senior School from September 2023. This is a key role in our Music Department and the successful candidate will continue to develop the brass playing at the Senior School. Presently this is only for a small number of students, but there is potential to develop and expand this important area of the musical life of the school.
The hours of work are dependent on the demand for lessons.
This is a self-employed position for 1:1 teaching.
The rate for our Visiting Music Teachers is £40 per hour (£200 for 10 x 30 minute lessons).
WHY CHOOSE US
Kent College is a co-educational school located in Canterbury, just one hour from the center of London by train. The Senior School (11 – 18 years) has some 600 boys and girls, approximately one-third boarding and two-thirds day. This is a fabulous opportunity to work for a happy, caring and successful school in which pupils feel supported and encouraged to aim for high standards of achievement and conduct.
The school was graded as excellent in all categories in the recent inspection conducted by ISI in October 2022, the Independent Schools Inspectorate that conducts inspections on behalf of the Secretary of State for Education.
