Bishop Douglass Catholic School is a mixed, independent Academy within the Cardinal Hume Academies Trust and is comprised of approximately 1000 students, aged 11 - 18. The school is in pursuit of excellence and in 2019 the GCSE results placed us 7th in the country for our Progress 8 score.
The successful candidate will have access to an exceptionally well-resourced department that offers a 3-year KS3, positive numbers at GCSE and the choice of two pathways at KS5. In addition, the opportunity to provide a wide range of extra-curricular activities is included in the role, with the appointed candidate expected to maintain the department's high profile across the school.
Working closely with a supportive leadership team, the successful candidate will promote a nature of inclusivity in and fondness for the benefits of studying music as part of a broad school curriculum.
