You will be responsible for setting up and taking down audio equipment, adjusting sound according to the specifications of the director, and collaborating with crew members to ensure sound, lighting, camera, and special effects all work together cohesively. Responsibilities
- Work closely with musicians and pastors to ensure all audio elements (music & speaking) are mixed well and heard clearly in worship services and events, both in-person and online.
- Work closely with worship leaders, musicians, and other technical staff to coordinate audio production for the service.
- Perform soundchecks before each worship service or event.
- Provide recommendations to worship staff, musicians, and pastors to help elevate in-person worship.
- Help maintain, repair, and install A/V/L equipment.
- Must be available Sunday mornings. This role’s responsibilities could be shared by more than one person.

- Ability to develop and encourage volunteers
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in audio production preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in live sound production for concerts, events, or houses of worship
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others
- Supports Word of Peace’s mission-based church philosophy
- Ability to lift 50 pounds as well as is comfortable on lifts and ladders
- Channels are muted and unmuted correctly.
- Audio feedback is non-existent or minimal during worship.
- The mix is appropriate for each worship service.
- Issues that arise are solved quickly.
