Charnwood Museum is an award-winning attraction situated in the beautiful surroundings of Queen’s Park in Loughborough.
Housed in the former Victorian swimming baths, Charnwood Museum showcases the rich and diverse heritage of the local area and features a wide range of exhibits reflecting the history, geology, archaeology and industries of Charnwood and the surrounding area.
Key to all of the above is the role of Museum Assistant.
Working as part of a small team, you will contribute to the smooth running of Charnwood Museum and the Carillon Tower engaging with all aspects of the operation with a particular focus on customer service, security and health and safety whilst on duty.
You will ensure that all visitors are welcomed warmly and have an enjoyable visit whilst here. Dealing with a range of activities from enquiries about room hire, carrying out cleaning tasks, facilitating school groups and delivering events its never the same day twice at Charnwood Museum!
The borough sits centrally between the three cities of Nottingham, Derby and Leicester. Charnwood is easily accessible from the M1 and the high-speed rail link between Sheffield and London.
