Job description

Our Museum attracts over 80,000 visitors a year. We continually update and refresh our exhibition of pencil manufacture and local history, as well as our café, retail space, showcasing Derwent products, and other art materials and gifts. We also offer art demonstrations.

For ASAP start until end of October 2023:

We are seeking 1 further Seasonal Museum Assistant to start asap

We’re looking for enthusiastic customer focused people to help run our thriving Museum, take away & retail shop to work on a zero-hours basis but we would anticipate working from around 13th March to approx. 31stOctober (but could be earlier finish to fit in with school or University or other commitments), minimum of 3 days, maximum 5 days per week.

You will have some experience of retail, café work or similar, and an interest in art would be an advantage.

Job Types: Temporary contract, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 7 months

Salary: £10.50 per hour
