Brooklands Museum is a unique and special place to work, where people’s pursuit of speed, flight and adventure changed the world! We have ambitious plans to fulfil our vision: Inspiring people to shape the future through Brooklands’ history of innovation and endeavour.
As we are a visitor attraction, our priority is delivering a memorable and inspiring experience for all visitors and ensuring we meet our commitment of ‘Brooklands at its best, every day’. So, no matter what role you join us in, you will have a very important part to play in this.
We are currently looking for a full time Museum Assistant to join our Front of House team in readiness for our busy and exciting 2023 summer season.
As part of the Front of House Team, you will report to our Admissions & Retail Management Manager and play your part to ensure that the Museum consistently provides a high-quality experience to all.
Our Museum Assistants work flexibly across the Museum and can support a wide range of activities. Although much of your day will be spent on front of house activities within our Admissions area, you may also have the opportunity to help with a variety of behind-the-scenes tasks.
You are the face of the museum for our visitors and will be the first and maybe the last team of people our visitors will see! Your interactions with our visitors can really make someone’s visit special. With knowledge and enthusiasm, you will help visitors to find their way around our collections, share stories and facts about the Museum to help every visitor understand ‘it happened here at Brooklands’ and help us deliver ’an incredible day out’ every day.
We will interview as applications are received so, please don't wait till the closing date to apply. When applying, please include your CV and a covering letter explaining what skills and experience you bring to the role.
Benefits
Our benefits package includes opportunities for continuous learning, 33 days holiday including Bank Holidays (pro-rated) plus Christmas Eve. Flexibility to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance, 4% employee pension contribution and access to wellbeing support and Mental Health First Aiders. We also offer free onsite parking, our online discount portal, discounts at our onsite Café and Museum shop as well as free access to all that Brooklands has to offer.
