EQUANS are recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician(Electrical) to join their on-site team at the University of Birmingham Student Accommodation project.
This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
Please note this role is doing electrical work around a new build uni e.g. changling light bulbs etc. You will be required to work 1 in 4 on call out. You will be supplied with a van and tools.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 08:30am-4:30pm
What will you deliver?
Quarterly shower head & hose cleaning in accordance with L8 requirements (full training will be provided)
Changing light bulbs. DIY electrical work
Monthly temperature monitoring of Hot & Cold water systems
Weekly flushing of water outlets in all unoccupied rooms
Weekly fire alarm testing on the student accommodation
Bi-annual Fire Door inspections (full BRE Academy training will be provided), ensuring necessary adjustments are completed / faults & damage recorded accurately
Undertake regular visual inspections of building fabric, furniture, fixtures & fittings
Effect repairs to building fabric, furniture, fixtures & fittings where noted / when reported
Undertake minor repairs to faults reported within student bedrooms and shared kitchen facilities
Attend to faults with domestic water supply & drainage systems / other plumbing works including but not limited to resolving blocked drains, changing taps, shower valves, etc

Who are we looking for?
Demonstrable experience in a similar role essential
Trade working in electrical / plumbing
Effective communication skills essential
Full UK driving licence
