We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic tradespeople to join our growing engineering family, working in a challenging and diverse role where no two days are the same. Our skilled engineers provide mobile delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services across a variety of clients and industries.
Job purpose
In your new role as a Mobile Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for undertaking a variety of tasks including maintenance inspections, fault finding, upgrades and installations activities. These will be completed to achieve the highest level of service for the client, answering queries, reporting any defects and keeping them informed of site activities at the time of the service visit.
Some of the systems you will be working on could include, single phase and three phase distribution, emergency lighting, SWA and containment and commercial lighting systems. All works are to be completed in line with the latest guidance and legislation such as SFG20 or relevant ACoP's where applicable.
You will be expected to complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, keeping logs of inspections reports and remedial work.
We are looking for individuals with:
- Experience within a Maintenance / Facilities Management environment.
- Relevant qualifications required e.g. Level 3 Award, C&G 18th Edition or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety, Permit to Work procedures and safe systems of working.
- Capability to perform manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights and in confined spaces as well as a willingness to participate in the On-Call Rota.
- Good verbal and written communication is important, including the ability to use a mobile device.
- You'll need to be highly self motivated and solutions focussed with the ability to work without supervision but also enjoy working as part of a team.
- Full Driving Licence.

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
To ensure all aspects of mechanical and electrical systems are maintained in optimal working order and in compliance with all contractual and legislative requirements. Manage adherence to Planned and Reactive tasks. Manage staff and subcontractors in accordance with H&S legislation
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure compliance with Legislation, H & S, Quality and Environmental policies of the company and client
- Line management of the Hard Services team
- Management of projects and associated H&S Management to include CDM
- Responsible for the delivery of planned and reactive works to include, planning, co-ordination and management of supply chain and staff
- Ensure professional quality of service delivery
- Complying with Health & Safety procedures and maintaining records
- Attend and contribute to a weekly internal operations meeting aimed at driving productivity
- To ensure all the contractual assets are properly maintained and operating efficiently through effective planned preventative maintenance matching prescribed schedules
- To ensure all events (failures & faults) that have been raised and are reacted to timely, ensuring the appropriate actions taken to meet contractual requirements in returning the asset to full operational service
- To maintain an accurate asset register and maintenance program
- Provide the Account Manager with forecasted replacement assets in the next lifecycle year
- Provide data for past, current and following months completed and pending Stat and Planned tasks for the purposes of monthly reporting and FM Ops Meeting
- To participate in the out of hours stand-by and callout rota
- To carry out planned maintenance in line with the maintenance program
- To provide the FM team with all necessary to enable the parts to be ordered
- To ensure any on site storage facility is kept clean, tidy and organised
- Provide additional works quotations to enable the FM team to complete the relevant contractual variations within the required time frames
- To assist the Account Manager and MIS team in any other duties in support of the contract as directed by the Accounts Manager
- Keep up to date with training requirements for self and team, to flag requirements to the Account Manager
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
- Qualified electrical and/or mechanical engineer
- DBS Standard is required
- PPM maintenance management
- Line Management experience
