As part of the maintenance team, you will support the branch by delivering planned and reactive maintenance tasks in order to provide a safe and inviting customer and Partner environment. Your role plays a vital contribution to the success of the maintenance objective plan.
As part of the role you will take on the responsibility of Duty Technician and will be the point of contact for all maintenance queries as well as providing technical support to the branch including sole technical presence on site.
What you’ll be doing:
Delivering a safe environment for Partners and customers, by undertaking planned preventative maintenance and also dealing with reactive situations as they occur. Liaising with contractors, branch management teams and fellow technicians across the John Lewis division.
Managing preventative work and dealing professionally with reactive situations. In order to perform your duties you’ll have access to a well organised workshop space with a range of up to date equipment and a wide range of learning resources to support you in upskilling and maintaining your knowledge.
What you’ll already have:
It's essential you have a recognised Electrical qualification, City & Guilds, JIB, or NVQ equivalent including 17th / 18th Edition IET wiring regulations.
Ability to work proactively and be able to be both reactive and calm under pressure
What else can you bring:
Ability to demonstrate sufficient experience in Building Environmental & Electrical Services, Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning within the maintenance industry.
