Report to:
Chief Engineer
Role Purpose:
the role of the Utilities engineer is to ensure the smooth-running order of all essential site utility plant.Primarily responsible for pro-active maintenance checks, carrying out expected maintenance and highlight out of spec result to chief engineer. They will work collaboratively with service contracts ,contractors on site and the chief engineer to identify timely solutions to any problems or breakdowns with machinery while looking for ways of continually improving and streamlining processes,
Key Accountabilities
- Respond positively and pro-actively to any reported breakdowns of production equipment to ensure production time loss is kept to a minimum .
- Actively problems solves on all equipment and machinery faults and breakdowns to make sure they solve the case and not just the symptoms of a problem
- Regularly plans and carries out continuous improvements to current operation to improve efficiency.
- Installs new production equipment and utilities as required to meet production needs and ensures a right first time approach to operation and Quality .
- Works with technical , operations and productions to ensure equipment and process meet the quality requirements.
- Delivers complacence in relation to all the relevant quality and technical expectations and system for their area
- Communicates consistently and appropriately with other key manager and senior team .
- Support and develops the performance of the support team through training and coaching them
- Ensures conformance and consistency is applied to management control and reporting system.
- Make sure that system for monitoring equipment performance is supplied to the appropriate people
- Works collaboratively with the chief engineer to deliver improvements in processes
- Deliver key objectives to ensure continuous improvement plans are completed in all areas .

Qualifications or experience :
SVQ 3 Engineering Maintenance,
SCQF Level 6 (Multi Skilled)
Working hours : Monday to Friday from 7:00 am - 16:00
