Multi Skilled Days Shift Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) United Kingdom
Job description
Do you want to reclaim your weekends and work shorter hours on Fridays?! If so, we currently have a rotating early/lates shift role working Monday to Thursday 6am – 1.36pm/1.36pm to 10pm and on Friday’s late shift pattern, 1.30 - 5.30pm. (38 hours per week total).
About the Role:
Working in a highly automated pharmaceutical manufacturing GMP environment, you will be joining a team of highly skilled engineers as part of the wider site maintenance team. In this role, you'll be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and improving operationally critical equipment and to provide electrical cover on a designated shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities
Planned and Breakdown Maintenance
- Receive EWO’s and responding promptly or as instructed by the Maintenance Engineering Team Leader.
- To work with the Engineering Stores person to ensure stock levels of appropriate parts are maintained and to identify opportunities for improving the provision of spares.
- To actively contribute to the site wide 6S program
Engineering Projects
- To provide technical guidance on plant and equipment specification.
- To attend occasional Factory Acceptance Testing trials of new equipment.
- To play a lead role in the installation and commissioning of equipment.

- Be qualified to a minimum level of NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering. 17th/18th edition qualifications would be highly desirable
- A strong previous track record of working in a fast-paced FMCG environment
- Automation/inverters experience ideally
