Job description
Multi-Faith and Muslim Chaplain
We are looking for a Muslim and Multi-Faith Chaplain to work on a part- time basis alongside our Coordinating Chaplain to offer support to all students and staff at Goldsmiths. They will also be providing dedicated support to our Muslim community at Goldsmiths.
As the Multi-Faith and Muslim Chaplain, they will bring significant experience of providing professional and pastoral support to individuals. They will also have the resilience and energy necessary to drive and contribute to a high-quality student experience.
In addition to relevant experience of providing support on matters of religion and faith, with a particular awareness of issues affecting Muslim staff and students, we are looking for an excellent team player, able to communicate openly with colleagues and build rapport with individual, teams and services across the institution. All Multi-Faith Chaplins must be able to demonstrate an understanding of, and empathy for, the needs of a unique, diverse and international student community, and work according to the principles set out in our Multi-Faith Chaplaincy Guidelines)
We are very keen to ensure that those who work directly to support our students’ academic experience reflect the diversity of our learning community. Goldsmiths would therefore particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic candidates and those with disabilities, who are currently under-represented at this level in this area.
