The Position:

Are you looking for the ‘perfect’ delivery driver position? Are you looking to work Monday to Friday, finish mid afternoon each day and have around 20 drops instead of hundreds, working for a company that’s making a meaningful contribution to the standard of care of animals across the globe?

We are looking for an experienced driver to step into this position and manage the delivery of temperature-controlled products from our modern facility in Bradford, maintaining our strong relationships with our clients and providing a professional service throughout operations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

· Deliver goods accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with daily driving schedules to registered premises only, obtaining proof of delivery at all manned premises.

· Loads own vehicle ensuring all correct PPE is used and that H&S policies are followed.

· Ensures route is loaded accurately, safely and in such a way as to avoid any damage.

· Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain vehicle roadworthiness.

· Record and report all vehicle defects in a timely manner inc. nil defects.

· Meet all legal requirements of the use of the highways. Comply with all EU, Domestic and WTD rules.

· Record and report all damages in accordance with company policy.

· Follows company policy and procedure regarding the correct, safe and accurate return of goods from customers

· Maintain accurate records of daily activities and ensure start times are adhered to.

· Maintain a valid DCPC card.

· Understand the Companies standard operating procedures and attend training sessions as appropriate.

Experience, skills and knowledge requirements:

· Drive like a professional – Good driving record and appropriate license for the role

· Maintaining concentration – Must be able to stay focused when driving and training for long periods.

· Quality communication – There is a great deal of paperwork involved in training and driving. This must be accurate and timely.

· Attention to detail – The little things make a big difference. Accurate and comprehensive record keeping is essential.

· Customer care – The role requires you are not only the face of the business but of the department.
