Job description
This research post is within the Neurosciences Research Section of the Molecular and Clinical Sciences Research Institute at St George’s. An exceptional person is needed to play a key role in applying pattern recognition methods to MRI and MRS data from glial brain tumours to aid in their diagnosis and prognosis. This will involve further development of the novel Quasi-Diffusion MRI technique developed at St George’s. The post-holder will work in multidisciplinary environment where MRI is a key clinical research tool applied to a wide variety of diseases.
Key attributes of the successful applicant include:
- Experience of developing image processing pipelines in C, Matlab or other programming language
- Experience of applying pattern recognition and other statistical methods to multi-parametric data
- General understanding of MRI techniques, and specifically of diffusion imaging
- Enthusiasm and personal initiative to solve problems
- Keen to work in a multidisciplinary team within a clinical environment
