Moral Rating Agency
Full Time London, England 10.56 - 12.04 GBP Today
Job description

Who we are

Based in the City of London, the Moral Rating Agency rates corporations’ moral behaviour. We are the political moral equivalent of ESG rating agency.

The launch project of the Moral Rating Agency is about rating the involvement in Russia of the largest corporations in the world. We will focus on this issue until it is resolved.

The goal is to provide consumers, shareholders and the media with transparent information on corporate behaviours so they can boycott brands that in turn cause companies to boycott Russia.

About the role

You will be trained to be a ‘moral rater’. Since moral political rating is a novel activity, we may be the only organisation in the world training people to perform this skill with accuracy and fairness. This involves following a complex 50-step ‘Moral Rating Methodology’.

The methodology involves collecting raw material online on each company according to specific guidelines, organising info collected by colleagues, and organising the facts that will form the basis for each of the three sub-components of our rating system.

This info on each company will be analysed based on objective and subjective factors to award a ‘3D score’ for: ‘Degree of Exit’, ‘Speed of Exit’ and ‘Sacrifice of Exit’. These three components will then combine to produce and justify a ‘Moral Rating’ for each company, which will be updated as we observe further developments in any of the three components.

You will contribute to our goal, which is to produce moral ratings that are deep, fair, transparent and standardised, so they can be acted upon with confidence.

  • Detail-oriented, organised, precise
  • Process-oriented
  • Research and analytical skills
  • Good judgment in making fair subjective analysis
  • Ability to comprehend qualitative and quantitative factors, ideally ability to work with financial info
