We are looking for a Senior Mortgage Proposition Manager to support the ongoing development, management and governance of the lending products offered by the Commercial Property Division. This includes our core markets of bridging, buy to let and commercial including pricing.
- Use the financial models available to the Division (RoE, P&L) to model the impact of product and pricing changes
- Responsibility for co-ordination (and contribution where appropriate) of Product Annual Reviews and meeting submission deadlines
- Deliver implementation of actions from the Annual Reviews and Focus Groups to better meet customer needs
- Support in design and launch of new products as required
- Provide up to date market expertise and competitor knowledge (pricing, credit, process, product design) to be presented through PPC and delivered in suitable format to the wider business and sales team
- Deputise for the Head of Product and Proposition at committees when needed and support on papers/projects
- Research opportunities for expansion into adjacent markets
- Perform Secretariat duties for Commercial Property Product Committee and Group Product Committee including management of actions and pack slides
- Member of Complex Deal Forum including presentation of cases to the wider group
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Strong understanding of the UK Corporate Governance Code and Remuneration Code
- Ability to operate effectively on committees
- In depth understanding of the financial services sector with specific focus on Banking
- Strong Customer/Market Insight for the development of products and services which meet customer needs
- Understanding of risk appetite and risk management frameworks
- Strong understanding of Conduct Risk and how to deliver fair customer outcomes
- Strong understanding of compliance and banking regulations
- Ability to identify, evaluate and develop new and sustainable revenue
- Demonstrates pragmatic judgement, balancing risk and business value to reach decisions which are well informed and actionable
- Continuously and proactively improves the quality of service delivered to all customers, external, internal and business partners
- Willingly takes the initiative and consistently does more than is required
