Job description

Money Laundering Reporting Officer

Salary - £55,000 - £60,000 (Dependent on experience)

Are you an expert in the fight against financial crime? Do you have what it takes to protect the integrity of one of the best online bingo and gaming companies? If so, we want you to join our team at tombola!

As the Money Laundering Reporting Officer, you'll be the mastermind behind our AML strategy, laser-focused on conducting country-specific AML risk assessments. You'll be responsible for designing and monitoring our internal AML procedures and policies, ensuring that we stay one step ahead.

You'll also be responsible for both external and internal reporting, keeping a watchful eye on all the incoming and outgoing transactions. We need someone who can be proactive, a true detective who can detect any suspicious activity and stop it in its tracks.

How will you do it?

  • Collaboratively define tombola's AML strategy.
  • Provide oversight over the development and implementation of AML guidance materials, training resources, and controls that implement the business's AML strategy.
  • Research and understand changes in regulation and advise senior management of any likely implications of changes to internal policies.
  • Provide advice on the implications of existing and future business strategies, including providing recommendations to proactively manage the business AML risk.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the business and a point of reference to address related queries.
  • Implement the annual AML plan and perform the relevant quality assurance checks across first and second line of defense controls to ensure adherence.
  • Own the AML relationship with regulators, including management of preparation for inspections by the regulators and the reporting of suspicious activity.
  • Work collaboratively with financial crime teams in the rest of Flutter Group to ensure tombola's processes adhere to Flutter Group standards.
  • Complete AML risk assessments, including the identification of additional compensating controls, where appropriate.
  • Develop tombola-specific AML policies and oversee their implementation.
  • Compile reports for the board and internal risk committees to demonstrate the effectiveness of tombola's AML control systems.

As you can see, this role requires a wide range of skills and expertise, including an in-depth knowledge of AML regulations, the ability to develop and implement effective policies and procedures, and the capacity to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

What we need from you

You'll have at least 6 years of experience in a similar role, along with a deep understanding of the online gaming sector or similarly regulated markets. You'll also be a master of data analysis and management, ready to wrangle large volumes of data with ease.

But we're not just looking for qualifications - we want someone who's forward-thinking and dynamic, with top-notch communication skills and a talent for influencing others. You'll need to be fluent in English (written and spoken), and if you happen to speak Italian and/or Spanish, that's a bonus!
